Myths You Need To Know About Abs

 Six-pack abs, killer abs or even washboard abs, you can give them any name you like.

It is generally believed that people with a good mid-section are very attractive. Can a hundred sit-ups give us the right shape want? A lot of questions could be going through your mind now. Some of these beliefs are not true, they are mere myths.

Myth One.
The abdominal muscles are much more different than our other muscles.
The truth is that muscles are the same in every part of the body. It is their shapes, sizes and locations that may be different. Abdominal muscles are no exceptions. It is just that abdominal muscles do not rest on any bone.

Myth Two.
You need to balance your muscles in order to get a strong back.
The truth is that you do not have to work only a particular part of your body. Is it normal for a part of the body to keep growing while every other part has stopped? Won’t that lead to abnormality? You have to concentrate on every part of your body.

Myth Three.
It has been said that you must train your abs hard at least twice a week, giving them enough time in-between to rest. Rather, workouts that tires your abs must be your choice Abdominal muscles are responsible for the stability of the body, so by exempting them from training will be enhance the development of abdominal muscles.

Myth Four.
The main key to gaining great abs is to overload. In order to achieve good abdominal endurance, simply put, the more crunches you can do at one time the more you will be able to do later as they will become stronger.

Contrary to the myth, it will not make your abs stronger. It will only lead to a waste of workout time.

Myth Five.
Rock hard abs can only be made by doing lots of sit-ups.
Health practitioners have warned that crunches and sit-ups can harm your neck because whenever you throw the neck outwards during a crunch, you actually mount pressure on it. Too much of crunch can even give you a bad posture because you thoracic bones are likely to extend.

Myth Six.
It can take many years to get six-pack abs.
Everybody has abdominal muscles. We just need to burn the fat around these muscles and train them appropriately. We all have different structures so we can’t possibly achieve the same result within the same time frame. Some of would achieve it in a very short time while it may take others a pretty long time.
