Foods for Healthy Weight Loss

Yes, food gives us energy. The body runs on food. But some foods are not good for your body, it will make it perform badly.  Foods with high octane content will boost your energy, raise your rate of metabolism and also prevent you from eating bad foods by giving you the satisfaction you need. The body runs properly without any hiccups when it is fed with the right kind of food. For healthy lifestyle and a successful weight loss, you should eat the following six food items everyday.

Eggs were believed to increase our cholesterol level. But recent researches have proved otherwise. Instead, they provide us with a lot of vitamins and nutrients and they contain only 75 calories. They contain vitamins like B12, E, and vitamin A. It is recommended that a pair of eggs is enough for you till afternoon.

Bell peppers are good because they have a lot of vitamin C. Red, yellow and orange ones have more vitamin C than green ones and they also contain so much anti-oxidants. They are better consumed raw. However it is okay if you eat them along with salads, sandwiches or even salsa. They are good with some other low calorie foods.

Broccoli and cauliflower boost the body metabolism. They contain some vitamins, protein and fiber. They enhance the metabolism of estrogen and that prevents illnesses like breast cancer. They also act as an anti-aging agent. The more you cook them the more you reduce their benefits. So they are best when eaten raw. They could be eaten with salad. But if you can’t eat them raw, then they should be as close to raw as possible. You can steam them lightly or stir-fry them.

Avocados and olives have some healthy fat and unsaturated. They also do a good job on your cholesterol. They can fill your stomach throughout the day, such that you would eat less than your usual quantity in your subsequent meals. You can add two slices of avocado or 6 -8 olives to your salad or sandwiches and you will be filled for the rest of the day.

Almonds and peanuts are wonderful when it comes to loss of weight. They contain some calories and some healthy unsaturated fat. They also boost your energy a lot. They also help you to cut down the quantity of food you eat. Just take some of either almonds or peanuts and drink a glass of water about 30 minutes before you take your lunch or your supper and you’ll find out that you would not be able take more than 50% of your usual quantity.

Tuna and sardines both contain protein and omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids enhance proper functioning of the heart and also give you a very retentive memory. Both tuna and sardine are very good after an energetic workout. You do not have to worry about the quantity to take because a can of each is just okay for a meal. They are several variants but always avoid the tuna or sardines packed in oil. Other variants are okay. Naturally, you may be tempted to add some mayonnaise to your tuna because they really taste wonderful together but don’t even think of it. It is your shape that matters not the taste. Remember that they are being recommended not because of their great taste but because they are beneficial to your weight loss diet. Instead of mayonnaise, some shredded lettuce is okay.
