Common Trends That Makes You Gain Weight and How to Deal With them

If you really want to be slim, you have to swim against the tide as most of your habits would be different from what obtains in the society. You have to make certain decisions and stand by them no matter the discouragements and challenges you face.

Here are 3 Common trends:
1. Large Portion Sizes of Food
Most restaurants give you so much food so as to make you always come back. The quantity of food served for one person is enough to feed about five people. It has been established that the size of your stomach is almost the size of your fist. You do not believe it because your stomach takes food quantity that is bigger than your fist? Well, that is because the walls of the stomach can expand. It is advisable to go to the restaurant in company of friends. Order for one person and share the meal equally. If you continue to finish all your meals in the restaurant all alone, then you are the one making passes at obesity. And obesity does not turn down invitations! Lol…

2. Driving Always
If you go with the flow, you will cultivate habits like driving to anywhere instead of walking occasionally, always using the escalator instead of the stairs, watching the TV for hours instead of exercising your body, eating in restaurants instead of cooking at home and you won’t persuade your children to go for swimming because they are busy with their Play Station II. If you continue like this, where do you think you’ll end? You are heading towards “Super” obesity. To cap it all off, you’ll now start looking for a weight loss pill that would make you shed 100 pounds overnight. Is that possible? Please think of it and change your unhealthy habits.

3. Vogue Diets
They make you eat certain kind of foods for some weeks to shed some weight. After that period, you can go back to your normal unhealthy diet and expect to remain the same. What kind of logic does that follow? It is simply not possible.  Do not let your weight-loss-without-sacrifice wish distort your thinking. You, think about it yourself and see if a tentative measure can give a permanent solution.

It is only a well-balanced healthy diet that can make you shed some weight. However, to get a permanent solution, you have to make a permanent change in your lifestyle. This would be very difficult because you will have to swim against the tide and stand by your decisions with some discipline.
