(27)You Are Eating Too Much Portions of Food: Many people try to lose weight without giving proper attention to the kinds of food that they eat. When you plan to take part in a weight loss program, it is important that you watch your carbohydrate intake. A lot of people are unaware that the more you exercise, the more you feel like eating. As such, you must take note of what you eat so that you do not replace the calories you have successfully lost. It is advised that you eat smaller portions of meal more often like 5 to 6 times daily instead of larger portions 2 to 3 times daily. This way your food will brake down easily.

According to the Harvard Health Publications of the Harvard Medical School, having a healthy weight loss diet is strongly linked with improvement in the level of blood sugar and consequently reduce complications in diabetes. In reality, if you succeed in loosing as little as five to ten percent of your current weight, you would have significantly decreased the chronic complications associated with diabetes.

(29)Breakfast is Essential – For those of you who do not have regular eating hours, it is important to make sure that breakfast is one of the meals that you do not miss. When you sleep, your body’s nutrients level is depleted. So it is best to eat some food about an hour after you wake up. This will also help to increase the rate of metabolism.

(30)A sedentary lifestyle in which one does not partake in some form of physical activity on a regular basis is perhaps the main factor responsible for excess abdominal fat. When the food you eat contains a lot of calories and you don’t exercise much, the fat can only accumulate in one place. However, our activity levels do not only affect weight gain, but also the kinds of food we eat. If our meals contain high calorie foods on a regular basis, our body will tend to gain weight quickly.

(31)You Are Not Doing Enough Body Work Out - You may already be doing some basic exercise such as push ups, jogging and playing some form of sports, but you are yet to shed off the excess weight. The reason is simple: it takes more than exercising to lose weight. You also need to be dedicated to your schedule and work hard at it. This will require that you combine medium-high-intensity cardio exercise with some challenging strength-training workout.
